01 / THE WORK

Bins within a broader service

Common-area cleaning across approximately 87 tenanted properties. Routine scope includes stairs, landings, close windows, bin stores, entrances and paths. Wheelie-bin cleaning and power washing are among the separately priced ad-hoc items.

Initial term: 1 April 2027–31 March 2028, with annual extensions at the buyer's discretion up to 31 March 2032.

02 / THE CATCH

A bin-only bid is not invited

There are no separate lots. A company able to deliver the whole common-area service can assess a direct bid. A bin-only operator would need to establish a viable partner arrangement first; none is confirmed.

Selection is pass/fail through the Scottish Procurement Document (SPD). For bids that pass, the published weighting is 70% quality / 30% price.

03 / THE NEXT STEP

Check eligibility before pricing

Open the Public Contracts Scotland documents for reference 844602. Review Specification pages 5–14, including minimum standards on pages 8–10, then the pricing schedule and quality questions.

Payment terms, TUPE, staffing, insurance requirements and the volume of ad-hoc bin washes need checking in those documents. We have not verified those details.
